Get Involved

By supporting Never Again International – Canada, you can make a tangible impact on the world.

Get involved in creating a more peaceful planet.  Only by involving people of different backgrounds and special talents can we put an end to these atrocities and build a peaceful world.

All of our youth and peace soldiers make a commitment to advocate for eradicating the use of child soldiers and raise their voices for peace to ensure that genocide is never again permitted to happen.

Would you support our peace builders as they advocate for human rights?

Start a chapter of NAI-C

Are you interested in starting a chapter of NAI-C in your school or neighbourhood?  Start your own chapter and you can advance global human rights from your local community.

Volunteer

All NAI-C staff are dedicated volunteers who are working to advance peace.  NAI-C relies on the efforts of volunteers to succeed.  We welcome volunteers in all capacities.  Please provide your information and let us know in what area of interest you would best like to volunteer.

Design a campaign

Design your own unique campaign to build awareness, promote peace and educate your friends about global issues.

You can create a personal fundraising or awareness building campaign in your schools, community groups, universities or workplace.  Campaigns deal with critical issues related to international peacebuilding.

You can help bring global issues to the local community level!  Campaigns allow you to educate your peers and to creatively fundraise. You can sign up to champion a campaign and become an agent of peace to help prevent atrocities, advocate for justice and stop the use of child soldiers globally.

Educate your peers about the use of child soldiers in war with a screening of “Fight Like Soldiers, Die Like Children.”

Host a fundraiser

NAI-C invites you to host a special fundraising event.  Fundraising is one of the best ways to raise awareness in your community.   You can create your own unique event to support our international projects for peace.  To inspire you, NAI-C has provided a list of potential fundraising events you can organize in your own community.

Ways to fundraise

Feeling Creative?

Host an art exhibit

  • Show off your original art or photography to family and friends.  Take the opportunity to raise awareness through an art exhibit at home, school or another public venue.

Fundraising concert

  • Host a concert in a public space where the proceeds go towards a preferred campaign, such as stopping the use of child soldiers.  Invite your local community bands, churches, musicians and entertainers to come and perform.

Recycling for Rights

  • Gather your friends to collect recycled cans, bottles and other items.  Clean up your local environment and the proceeds you raise can support an important project for peace with NAI-C.

You can become a global changemaker!

Looking for more ideas to get involved?

Host a Talent Auction

  • Have your friends auction off their best talents for a good cause.  Show off your talents to the community!  You can offer anything from sports and music lessons, to lawn mowing and babysitting.  Can you bake the best cheesecake in town?  How about offering your haircutting, dog-walking or entertainment services?  Think about how you can contribute your talents to help promote peace.
  • Feeling Athletic?  If you are feeling sportive, why not organize an athletic fundraising event for a great charitable cause?

Pull for Peace Tournament (tug-of-war with a twist!)

  • You can form teams to collect sponsors from businesses in your community.  All proceeds will be directed towards the campaign that you are most passionate about.

Hoops for Hope

  • Get your local basketball teams charged up for a charity basketball tournament.  Invite local celebrities to come and MC the event.  Local businesses in the community can take this opportunity to sponsor a great awareness-building event and players can raise a minimum donation before jumping onto the court.

Rollerblading for Rights

  • Bring together local rollerbladers and organize a relay marathon for rights.  You can gather sponsors from friends, family and local businesses.  Each team supplies its own entry fee and you can pump up the volume to raise even more awareness with music. Get your community excited to come together to make a difference.

Swimming to End Genocide

  • Ask a local swimming pool to donate a portion of the proceeds from one day of public swimming to promote projects for peace.

Create a Charity Challenge

Raise money to perform a great physical feat, such as climbing a mountain for peace or cross-country cycling with a purpose!

Here are some other exciting ideas where you can bring your friends together to raise awareness for a great cause and make a difference.

  • Hold a car wash in your neighbourhood
  • Host a coffeehouse and showcase some local musical talent
  • Organize a BBQ in your community
  • Hold a dance in your school or rec centre
  • Set up a table at your local market with crafts or baked goods
  • Ask your local restaurant to donate the proceeds from one menu item and design a card to educate patrons on how their choice is helping to promote peace and stop the use of child soldiers
  • Host a holiday tea event at your local church or place of worship
  • Organize a wine and cheese in your home or workplace
  • Set up a lemonade stand to promote peace
  • Get your classmates involved in a school fundraiser and ask your social studies teacher to become involved

Make a donation

Donations are the lifeblood of any not-for-profit organization.  Your donation allows us to continue our programs around the world.  Thank you for donating to Never Again International – Canada.  We appreciate your donation.  We ensure that all of the funds go directly to our programming and we strive to keep administration costs low.  Donors will receive periodic email updates on our work and will be informed about other ways to get involved.

Never Again International – Canada is a non-profit organization.  Our funding is dependent upon the generous contributions of local NGOs and individual donations.

You can donate regularly (monthly) or can make a one-time lump sum donation.  These funds go directly towards supporting NAI-C’s important on-the-ground projects for peace.

You can also earmark your donation towards specific projects. For example, you can help fund sports camps for peace or provide support to cover regular school fees for future peacemakers. Your donation can make it possible for students who are unable to pay for school fees to complete their education and become agents of peace in the world.
